(text by P.S.) I got interested in this lens as I needed a sensitive and sharp wide angle for indoor shooting. Internet forum visitors apparaised this lens and it is indeed a very good deal. You get very sharp and tough lens which works down to 1.8 very well. It has a bit strange manual/auto focussing switch system, and the motor is noisier that USM or HSM motors, but the results are great and this device feels good to handle.
